Review summary

Guests consistently appreciate the hotel's beautiful Japanese style, often mentioning the spacious rooms and its proximity to Nishiki Market and other restaurants. The option to rent a private onsen for a small fee (500 yen) is also a highlight for many. While most find the experience delightful, a few guests have noted that the futons can leave little room to move around once laid out. it's a well-located and charming option for exploring Kyoto.

The double bed was comfy.
The smoking room fumes leaked into my room. It was awful. I should have asked for a room away from the smoking area. All in all, you'd get much better value elsewhere than this ryokan concept.
